Club Notes - 16 May 2016

Another busy weekend in the Club Grounds for all in Scoil Uí Chonaill!

Starting on Friday evening we welcomed three visiting clubs for an under 11 Blitz in great conditions in Clontarf.  Lots of very exciting games and plenty of treats for all the players. Saturday started with our Cake Sale and special thanks to everyone who supported this event in aid of Gaelcholáiste Reachrann.

That was followed by a comprehensive win in the Intermediate football championship at 6pm with the BBQ on the go in the pleasant sunshine.

Then we had our 'Couples & Dance Routine Reveal' which started at 7.30pm hosted by Kevin Rowe Events MC Adrian Kennedy.  The Clubhouse was packed for this event and there were plenty of cheers as the partners, dances and videos were announced.  You can check all the details on the 'Strictly' page on this website www.scoilgaa.com.

A big thank you to everyone who worked at the events especially on the BBQ, behind the bar and getting the Clubhouse into great shape with extra facilities for the events.

The minor hurlers showed great commitment to battle for a draw in their division 2 league game on Sunday morning while the third team lost out in their football championship game.

We welcome St Peregrines to the Club on Wednesday evening for a Division 3 hurling league game which throws in at 7.15pm

The Ladies play their second championship game, also on Wed, at 7.30pm in St Annes 10 v Raheny.

There are hurling league games next Sunday also.  Support very welcome for all games. Training continues every Tuesday and Wednesday for our Under 8-12 teams.

Well done to the Dublin Minor hurlers on their great win on Saturday and we're looking forward to the Senior game in Croke Park next Saturday.
