Club Notes - 31st August 2015

Scoil Uí Chonaill

A great win in the Junior A Hurling Championship semi final v Naomh Fionnbarra on Saturday evening in the Club secured a place in the final and promotion to the Intermediate competition in 2016.  Special mention for Joe Ryan, Adam Wilson and Barry Cushen on their contributions.  Well done to captain Andy Bunyan and all the team and to Matt Cushen and the management team.  The championship final v Cuala is set for Saturday 12th September at 6pm in Parnell Park and all support is very welcome for this game. The Intermediate Football Championship final will be rescheduled due to the Dublin v Mayo draw.  Everyone is still recovering from the rollercoaster game in Croke Park. A big thank you to Claire and Ruairi in the Clubhouse and Marion & Nick on the BBQ for looking after everyone on Sunday evening. The Dublin Ladies juvenile championship games started at the weekend and well done to the Under 14s on their win but hard luck to the Under 15s who lost out in their game.

The draw for All Ireland Hurling final tickets will take place in the Clubhouse on Thursday evening.  All paid up adult club members are eligible to take part in the draw.  Ticket for the Dublin v Mayo All Ireland Senior Football semi final replay will be based on the original allocation received for last Saturday's game.  (as per Dublin County Board).  The tickets received will be available for collection in the Club on Thursday 3rd September from 9.45pm.  The Club will be open after the game in Croke Park on Saturday evening and everyone is welcome to drop in and enjoy the 'post match analysis' in the Clubhouse.  Don't forget the Dublin Ladies Senior team play their semi final v Armagh at 2pm on Sat in Parnell Park. Special mention for Eoghan McKay and the Dublin Under 16 hurling team who won the All Ireland Shield competition at the weekend.  Due to the Dublin v Mayo replay, the dates and times for some games may be changed at the weekend.
