Club Notes 7th July 2015

A great comeback win for the Senior Footballers gave the supporters plenty to cheer in Clontarf on a beautiful evening in the sunshine last Saturday.  The game was followed by a BBQ and an update on Club activities which everyone enjoyed.  Thanks to all who worked at the event especially on the BBQ and in the Bar.

Two wins from two games in the league this week for the Division 8 footballers with two very assured and skillful performances on Tuesday evening and Sunday morning.

The 3rd team picked up the points on Thursday evening but lost out on Sunday in their 2nd league game this week.

Hurling league games this weekend which have been rearranged due to the Dublin hurlers qualifier game but have yet to be fully confirmed.  At this time, the Division 4 game is on Sunday at 10.15am v St Finian's in Swords.

The Cúl Camp is underway and there was a big change in the weather for all taking part - at least there were no worries about sunburns! Monday was spent indoors but thankfully the conditions improved on Tuesday with ideal conditions for all participants and coaches.

All the details of our Summer camps are available on the website.

Well done to the Dublin hurlers on their win on Saturday evening and hard luck to the Minors.

Special mention this week for Ellen Keane who is representing Ireland in the Paralympic Swimming World Championships in Glasgow.

Best wishes to Club Member Donncha Fenton who heads to New York to take up a new job.
